Authorized Ledger Reseller

Don't trust us. Verify.

Hardware wallet security starts with buying from a legitimate source. Here is exactly how to confirm that MVaults is an authorized Ledger reseller — and that the device in your hands is genuine — using Ledger's own verification tools, not our word.

1. Verify the reseller

Ledger publishes the official list of its authorized resellers. Check it before buying from us or anyone else — if a store is not on Ledger's list, don't buy hardware from it.

Our supply-chain promise

  • Devices sourced exclusively through Ledger’s official distribution network
  • Stored sealed and shipped factory-sealed — we never open, flash, or “pre-configure” a device
  • Tracked, insured shipping across the EU and UK
  • Immediate replacement if a Genuine Check ever fails

2. Verify the device — Ledger Genuine Check

Every Ledger device contains a Secure Element chip that can prove its own authenticity cryptographically. The check is performed by Ledger Live against Ledger's servers — no reseller can fake it.

1

Download Ledger Live from ledger.com only

Get the official companion app directly from Ledger’s website or your official app store. Never use a download link provided by any seller — including us.

2

Connect your device and follow onboarding

Ledger Live guides you through initializing the device, generating your recovery phrase, and choosing a PIN.

3

Run the Genuine Check

Ledger Live sends a cryptographic challenge to your device. Only a genuine Ledger Secure Element can produce the correct signature, which is verified against Ledger’s servers.

4

See “Your device is genuine”

This confirmation is cryptographic proof that your hardware is authentic and untampered — issued by Ledger, not by us. If the check fails, contact us for an immediate replacement.

3. Check what's in the box

Before you plug anything in, inspect the package. This is what a legitimate, untouched device looks like — and the red flags Ledger warns every buyer about.

Factory-sealed box

Your device ships in original, unopened Ledger packaging, exactly as we receive it from Ledger’s distribution network.

Blank recovery sheets

The included recovery sheets must be completely blank. Your 24-word recovery phrase is generated by the device itself, during your own setup — never before.

No PIN set

A genuine, unused device asks you to choose your own PIN on first boot. It never arrives with a PIN already configured.

Red flag: pre-filled recovery phrase

If any card in the box already has words written or printed on it, do not use the device. This is the most common scam with tampered units. Contact us immediately for a replacement.

Red flag: device already set up

If the device skips onboarding, shows an existing wallet, or asks for a PIN you never set — stop and contact us. Never deposit funds onto a pre-configured device.

Something doesn't look right?

If your package fails any of these checks, do not use the device and do not transfer any funds to it. Contact us with your order number and photos — we will replace the unit immediately and report the issue to Ledger.
